Spend the day with your family gliding through the treetops on the canopy tour, sliding down the longest mountain waterslide, experiencing the beautiful waterfalls, exploring atop the hanging bridges, and relaxing and refreshing in the hot spring spa and mud baths.

Africa Mia
Spend the day with your family at Guanacaste's newest and most unique tourist attraction, Africa Mia. Africa Mia boasts over 150 animals. Aside from the native monkeys, wild rabbits, birds, guatusas among others, visitors are exposed on our African Safari Wildlife Tour to reticulated giraffes, the incredible Giant Eland, endangered species bongos, mask faced oryx, warthogs, zebras, ostriches, antelopes, deer, watusi African cattle and camels.

The recreo staff is happy to arrange kite surfing or traditional surfing lessons for adults and teens. A number of kite surfing schools are located at Bahia Salinas bay, just minutes from recreo. Arrangements can also be made for a day trip to surfing hotspot Tamarindo for traditional surfing lessons.
