As companies downsize their staff, some companies are downsizing their prices to help out the less fortunate. These deals might seem like publicity stunts, butif you've recently been laid off, you might as well take advantage of any discounts which come your way.
Oddly, a number of layoff deals are targeted towards those who just want to get away from it all (though, if you can afford to get away after being let go, maybe you don't need a discount). Herewith is a list of some of the discounts available to the newly less fortunate:
recreo Costa Rica is offering the Layoff Layback plan. Provide written proof of your recent loss and you can stay a fifth night free after booking four nights (pay for five nights and get two free). Offered through Thrillist, enjoy "food whipped up by a personal Cook, booze, laundry service, a fitness center, and leisure activities like kayaking, tennis, mountain biking, private beach access, boat rides, and golf carts, which, given the lack of a golf course, are expressly for ramming into each other while hammered." Also comes with free tote bag.
