Your cook arrives in the morning at the time of your choosing and will prepare your breakfast, which can include fresh fruit, eggs, bacon, sausages, pancakes, French toast or any other foods you request. Fresh juices & fresh fruit smoothies are always on hand and you can always enjoy a cup of delicious Costa Rica coffee. Lunch can be served in your villa, poolside or your cook can prepare a cooler full of sandwiches, snacks & dips for you to enjoy at the beach, the mountain top lookout or to take with you on an excursion.
The menus have been designed over time, and are healthy, delicious and varied. The menus are planned around the freshest and finest produce. A variety of different salads are offered from Caprese salads with fresh tomatoes and basil to the popular Recreo Salad with lettuce, cucumbers, diced onions, ham, sliced avocado and chimichurri. Fresh fruits and vegetables are always included, both grown locally and brought from other parts of Costa Rica. Our cooks are plentifully supplied with the freshest of produce, dairy products and meats. And of course our seafood is caught by our local fisherman and brought to us to prepare for you. We accept only the freshest same day seafood. Based on what is in season, your menu will include several exceptional seafood dishes. Examples might include Mahi Mahi, Tilapia or Sea Bass (depending on what is in season) sautéed in a light shallot and white wine sauce or Garlic Shrimp and Lobster. Chicken and Steak options are always available as well. Examples might include Steak Fajitas or Sautéed Lemon Chicken all served with a variety of fresh grilled or sautéed vegetables and rice. A variety of pasta dishes are also available from meat or vegetable Lasagna to penne with Bolognese sauce. And if you plan a fishing trip, the cooks will be happy to prepare your catch for dinner. Your cook will also prepare a mid-afternoon snack which can include Guacamole and Chips with Salsa or fresh fish or shrimp ceviche enjoyed poolside with an ice cold beer. And don’t forget dessert! Specialties are the Tres Leches Cake and the Coconut or Vanilla Flan.
